Seafood and Eat It! Lord Roberts Hotel Sydney
PTC 1
Well, we have all heard the term ‘seafood and eat it’ and that’s exactly what I’m going to be doing in more ways than one today, on the sunny deck at The Lord Roberts Hotel.
PTC 2
Now, for me personally there are those Sunday summer mornings where you wake up, there’s not a cloud in the sky and the thought for the day is good friends, fresh seafood and an icy cold beer. So, if that sounds like a typical Sunday morning for you, stick with me as I take you to a little inner city pub where those desires will absolutely be fulfilled. In a sunny outdoor atmosphere with what I’d call a mates rates menu this is definitely the place to make it happen!
PTC 3
Upstairs on the deck at The Lord Roberts Hotel the menu is pretty much you’re good traditional pub style food and the draw card, the Seafood Platter! For around $30 bucks you and your mates can dive into some tasty salt & pepper calamari, grilled or battered fish fillets, char grilled baby octopus, delicious Yamba prawns’ and skinny fries. Dip any of these tasty seafood pieces into a choice of three sauces and there’s not much chance of one getting away! Team it up with a crisp garden salad, a cold beer or a chilled glass of Pinot and that morning thought is now a reality.
PTC 4
This cute little pub offers a relaxed and real pub atmosphere where you can come and ‘really’ just hang out. To play it safe, I would suggest booking if there’s more than four of you or you intend to lunch after 1pm. The kitchen closes at 3pm and from there you are more than welcome to slowly sip the afternoon away without a care in the world.
PTC 5
The pub is located in Stanley St, East Sydney right in the heart of ‘Little Italy’, so a post lunch stroll will take you to one of the many tempting local gelato spots. Now, it’s time to finish your afternoon off with something cool that will literally melt in your mouth.
Could it get much better that that?
Sunday’s in Sydney – the world really is your oyster!
Ciao from me, it’s chocolate gelato time!
