ABOUT KELLY

Kelly Lynch's career in the entertainment industry evolved at the age of 14 when Kelly and five girls formed the first and only rock band at Kincoppal Rosebay in Sydney in the late 80’s. Confidently, they compared themselves to INXS; a 6 piece band with siblings in the line up. Their passion for music created opportunities for gigs at the popular Bondi Beach Pavilion, which lead further to recording with a follow-on tour of New South Wales while still in high school.

Following this, Kelly entered the world of dance parties and DJs in the early 90s. This moved her to a prompt purchase of a set of Technics 1200 turntables to continue her love for music and entertaining people.

Placed as one of Australia’s most recognised female DJ’s, Kelly has had a successful career spanning 15 years, playing alongside some of the worlds biggest DJs at Australia’s hottest events and venues.

A string of radio appearances and hosting radio shows Kelly is at home behind the mic and with the people. The DJ world introduced Kelly to event production and unearthed an unshakeable interest in producing quality events. At only 24 Kelly was the visionary behind Colossus 2, which hosted 5000 people in festival style on the outskirts of Sydney and was covered by MTV and Channel V.

In 2007 Kelly spent time at NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Arts) in Sydney completing the ‘Presenting to Camera’ and ‘The Presenters Voice’ course. Kelly has also completed courses at The Actors Centre in Sydney. From these experiences Kelly has now expanded her vision and in addition to DJ’ing she is pursuing her passion to inspire people via the Natural State Living website, including; on-line television, writing, the NSL Tribe and through the earthy, energetic and soul shifting sounds of her original music.

On the flip side...

At the age of 22 Kelly was invited to attend a Buddhist Vipassana retreat with a close friend who shared with Kelly that she wished for her to be more 'productive than destructive'. Here the love of life seed, the remembering seed was watered and Kelly experienced deep conscious moments of being connected to all that is. As Kelly says “so much relief and inner peace washes over you when that feeling inside that says there must be more to life is sitting there waving a little flag saying, yes you were right, there is more!”

It was at this point Kelly experienced the space of her true self without conditioning and influence of the outside world. The last 16 years have been a continual journey of self and soul discovery, full of colorful highs, lows and everything in between. Kelly now lives day-to-day aligning to the infinite potential of living in her Natural State.

Embracing life with deep appreciation, Kelly offers the essence of her life experiences to others and spends her days creating ideas to inspire people to fall in love with life again by living in their Natural State. " Life is full of contrast and when we wander off our path through negative thinking, distraction, lethargy, unconscious choice, fear or other we must observe that from a tender place and bring awareness to that to see how that could look and feel different next time. This approach is a refreshing change from the self-judgment that blocked my creative energy and suffocated my spirit for so long. Loving all aspects of yourself and nurturing them unconditionally is a peaceful and productive way to lessen the ‘not really me moments’ and water the life changing, feel good ones. It's about being yourself and feeling your way through life. We all have a ‘story’ it’s what we do with it that makes the difference. It can inspire or expire us the choice is ours", Kelly said.

When asked how she manages all her creative outlets, Kelly simply responded with, “they are all a part of me and when your being who you love to be there is always room for that, the universe makes sure of it. The more I tune in and be myself, the more effortless it all becomes”.

What rings true is her deep desire to bring people back to their instinctual self with her ‘keep it real’ mantra. You will feel this in her presence in person, as a musician, DJ, NSL coach, speaker, TV presenter and global friend. “I would love my journey to inspire others to deepen theirs. What ever that looks like for you, open it up and get those creative fires burning. The universe will reward you for your courage and the beautiful expression of your soul”.
